Historical Lighthouse Vacations?

  • Historic Oregon Lighthouses
Although construction on this beautifully located lighthouse first began in 1891, it wasn't complete and fully lit until February 29, 1896, due to a number of delays in building. In 1939, the automated beacon abolished the need for a keeper at the lighthouse and the house was left empty. The lighthouse was renovated in 1976 by the US Army Corps and the Oregon State Parks after being vacant for 40 years with no care. To see the outside of this lighthouse, the inside is not available for public viewing, visit Bullards Beach State Park, north of Bandon.

  • Lighthouse of Alexandria
From historical evidence, it appears that the Pharos Lighthouse was also a tourist attraction. Hundreds of visitors climbed the Lighthouse everyday to enjoy the fantastic view around Alexandria. Food vendors also sold their goods at the top of each section of the Pharos.

  • Lighthouses
Lighthouses are found in a variety of locations; rocky cliffs, sandy shoals on land, on a water swept reef at sea, and at entrances to bays and harbors. They are there to warn sailors of dangerous reefs under the sea, rocky coasts on land, and to guide ships to the entrances of bays and harbors. The lighthouses message has always been; STAY AWAY, DANGER, BEWARE, or COME THIS WAY. Every lighthouse, no matter where it is, tells every mariner, THIS IS EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE. So, to always avoid the hazzards, navigate to a safe harbor, and to always know where you are, let your lighthouse beacon forever shine.

  • Lighthouse Route
From Lunenburg, Route 324 heads inland through rolling farmland and forests, with many beautiful lakes. The winery in Newburne offers tours and tastings; you can also pick berries when in season. The Route continues through Martin's River to Western Shore, where an attractive shoreline park offers superb views of the bay and its islands. Nearby is Oak Island, where a mysterious system of tunnels and shafts originally discovered on the island in 1795 has inspired two centuries of treasure hunters, including American President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Currently, the island is not open to the public.

  • About a Lighthouse
Jesus Christ, the captain of our salvation, has given his disciples the commission of spreading the light of the glorious gospel of the Kingdom of God to all nations. We must always keep our eyes on the mission and not get overwhelmed with activities, the cares of this life, and arguing with our fellow disciples as did the members of the lighthouse society. Matthew 24:45-51 is instructive in this regard:

  • Lighthouse Of Peace
A new modality called the Mind Resonance Process(TM) has been developed to help "uproot" and permanently release these anchors thereby allowing you the freedom to realign yourself with your inner state of Divine Peace and Truth once and for all.

  • Highland Lighthouse Area
As you approach the tower you'll soon see that it really is just a tower, with no castle attached below, as you might have imagined from a distance. For those who are braver (or if it's raining) you can poke your head and step into the hole in the base. It's not very pleasant in there.
