Conversely the feelings of peace can also be considered like a guide guiding us to our own inner truth. By noticing which of our personal choices lead us to this peace we’ll know how to stay on course to our truth. That truth unfortunately is something many of us have become disconnected to.
How do I know this? Well if you look at how much of your life you spend feeling peaceful I think you will recognize that it is likely very little. Stress the plague of our current lives you see is the antithesis of being in a state of inner peace. In other words stress represents a state where one is totally out of alignment with their truth and therefore what is right and good for them.
So how can one get back into alignment with one's own inner truth?
Well by cultivating a life based on following the "inner lighthouse of peace".
This requires careful reflection on the choices one makes at every moment. A decision that takes one away from the peaceful state is one that is moving away from one's truth and vice versa.
If you choose to undertake such a courageous yet necessary journey you will recognize that many of the learned beliefs that you currently hold will need to go. That is because such beliefs, which you acquired early in life, actually are not working in your best interests.
This will indeed require courage because you will be faced with the fear of letting go of many beliefs that you have seduced yourself into believing are good for you.
